Camden and I met at the Pier Cantina in Jax Beach September 9, 2014. We instantly hit it off and 2 years later he proposed September 9, 2016. We felt so lucky that exactly a year from then, September 9, 2017, fell on a Saturday. So of course we picked that date to get married. Everything was working out perfectly for us! Little did we know but we had some battles coming our way.

In March 2017, just 6 months before our wedding, Camden was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer. Not the news you would ever expect to hear esp while planning your wedding. However, with his positive “it could always be worse attitude” we managed to get through. Thanks to Camden who is my rock! We knew it would be a challenge around the time of the wedding due to his treatments and surgeries.

Yes, we kept our special date because it meant so much to us. Well again, more battles came. Days before our wedding we were forced to postpone because of Hurricane Irma. We didn’t have a choice as the whole state was evacuating. It was a blessing in a way because Camden was able to finish treatments and be 100% for our new wedding date, April 13, 2018. We were a little hesitant picking that date as it was “Friday the 13th” and with our luck who knew what was next.

Needless to say we were finally able to celebrate our special day! Fast forward to February 28, 2022, we got the news that we were expecting. Another battle thrown in the mix, but we stayed positive as always. Camden somehow convinced me to wait until the baby arrives to find out the gender. Everyone says “I don’t know how you’re doing it”.

But we just want a healthy baby and feel so grateful/blessed to get to where we are at today. Our sweet Baby Owens is expected November 10, 2022. We cannot wait to meet him/her and start our growing family. It was a pleasure working with Tonya on our maternity pictures. She’s so talented and we loved being able to capture these moments.
