My cameras are Canon 5D Mark III’s with lots of low light L-Series lenses.. I bring a variety of options for lenses that will produce a difference in looks ranging from zoom, wide angle, fisheye, etc. as well as many flashes to use as needed. Also, I bring extra backup equipment on a wedding day.
We get started about 3 hours before the ceremony and typically don’t leave until the reception is over – depending on which package you chose or how many hours you want us there. So that means no rushing to fit everything in before your photographer leaves. My second shooter is always shooting an opposite perspective than me so not only will you get a beautiful shot of you walking down the aisle, but you’ll also get your fiancés first reactions to seeing you.
Backups of photos:
There are always at least 2 copies of any photos I take of you. My cameras write to separate cards as we go through the day. And during the reception, I begin transferring cards on to my computer. Once the photos are edited, they are put on two hard drives both of which stay locked up in a fireproof safe for extra safety when not in use. I also have an off site backup of every picture I’ve ever taken. So if you lose your images or your computer fails, I still have a copy of your photos that I can give to you.
Turn around time:
In most cases, you will see your edited photos from a session within two weeks for proofing. Weddings are generally ready for proofing in about 4-6 weeks depending on the season.
Number of Photos:
Engagement sessions end up at around 150 photos. A good photo average for a wedding day is around 1,000. It can be more or less depending on how many guests you have, what traditions you do/don’t do, etc.
Engagement sessions :
It’s a great time for us to get comfortable with each other which makes for a really smooth wedding day. These photos are great for save the dates wedding website photos!
Professional Second Shooter:
I use several different second shooters, but they all shoot weddings as main photographers as well. They are the top of our industry, and I completely trust them to take amazing photos on your wedding day. My goal is to tell your wedding day story, FULLY. So having mine and another set of eyes on everything happening is so essential.
Online Viewing of photos:
Once I edit the photos, they go on a website of which you can send a link to your friends and family to see. If they choose to order any photos, the orders come directly to us and processed without the couple having to be involved at all.
You can choose the photos for your album or have us do it. Either way we put a design together for you to approve. You can make changes before the design is sent off to print
Edited Full Res images:
Depending on the package you choose, you can either download these from your gallery or have a USB. These are full resolution with a print release for you to use how you wish.
Wedding day video slideshow:
I love making slideshows that include photo AND video of your day. I generally post these on the blog once I'm finished and are available for purchase should you choose. These are my favorite ending piece of your wedding day puzzle because they carry so much emotion. My clients 100% of the time report back to me how much they love these slideshows.
Deposit and Remaining Balance:
The non-refundable deposit to reserve your wedding date is $1,000 plus tax. The remaining balance of the package is due one week prior to the wedding and also requires sales tax to be added on.
